Nana Plaza Bangkok – Thailand Shock Value

Even if you can spend weeks in Thailand without ever seeing a prostitute, in some areas of the city of Los Angeles that are designed with nothing more in mind than sex tourism. There are also some other places that tend to draw Thai girls seeking participation in a farang – Khao San Road immediately comes to mind. Today’s post will focus on major entertainment areas in Bangkok known as Nana Plaza pay4play.

Nana Entertainment Plaza (or NEP) began 25 years ago when several bars on Soi 14 16, Self has been forced to close indefinitely because of construction on Sukhumvit Road. In mid-1982, Rosemary (1 & 2), Three Roses and The Rainbow Bar all moved into Nana Plaza which was normal before leaving the shopping center of Thailand and the parking area. It has since grown to about 40 bars in the area of peak central courtyard.

Nana For nearly two decades has been the center of nightlife in Bangkok villain. While recognizing the competence of the Soi Cowboy bars a domain, but Nana Plaza is the top of the pile when it comes to A-go-go bars, with stages and shows throughout the complex. Some of this is due to the strength of the Thai baht, which affects all areas of tourism in Thailand. Other reasons mentioned include: maintenance of clubs has declined, the rising price of poor girls and the attitude of many staff and girls. Another key is to come in the form of a ban on smoking in all restaurants and bars in Thailand, which is to take effect February 11, 2008. It will be interesting to see if the ban is effectively enforced.

The first visit to Nana Plaza should be prepared for a surreal experience with the area that looks like a neon midway circus in full swing and music pumping in the bars around the Plaza. Loved Bible missionaries, prostitutes, sexpats West, camera wielding Japanese tourists and curious tourist young and old fill the area making it an ideal place for a beer and see the diversity of humanity in all its forms . No matter how you throughout your journey, it is unlikely to see another place even remotely similar.

With dozens of bars, neon lights flashing, thousands of girls and all the sights, smells and sounds of Nana Plaza I have only scratched the surface of what Nana Plaza. Go see for yourself, you will be surprised and shocked in his case, but it will be unlike any other experience of his life.
