If you want a great handling and quick car: Buy an SC300 and do the following simple mods. K&N, free flow exhaust with nice chrome tips, 18 inch wheels with 225/45′s up front and 245/40′s in the rear. If you lower the car on our roads you will end up with lot’s of issues. It does look great if you can go down an inch or so. Using a coil over kit is your best bet if you feel the need. My car is much quicker in turns than my old SC400.
i want an sc300 with a manuel tranny bad, but i can only find the auto’s for sale can anybody who owns one tell me if the auto still gives good performance
I recently acquired a 93 Coupe – black, 5 speed, 2JZ, and I’m looking for some bumper replacement markers; preferably smoked or frost white. Can any point me in the right direction for a set and any other simple clean mods/parts for my SC300…
@sk8tinboy6 The SC300 comes with the 3.0L, 2JZ-GE straight-six engine, while the SC400 comes with the 4.0L, 1UZ-FE V8 engine. You can tell the difference between the two of them (besides the badging) by looking at the exhaust; the SC300 comes with a single-exhaust, while the SC400 comes with a dual-exhaust. The 300 can come with a 4-speed auto tranny, or 5-speed manual tranny; the 400 only comes with a 4-speed auto tranny. So in conclusion, yes, there really is a difference between the two

EDIT: both sc300 and sc400 come with a dual-exhaust! It’s the Supra that comes with a single.

The 300/400 exterior looks way nicer than the 430′s.
To bad they never put a 6speed into the 400.
